2011 Collab & Conquer Multiple Sclerosis Fundraiser Kicks Off
Bianda Proudly Present the 2011 Collab & Conquer Multiple Sclerosis Fundraiser.
The freshly released epic single ‘Indaba Love’ is over 8 minutes long, and fosters peace and healing through music. This sentiment is exactly how the band was formed. They worked together to solve a problem, and the results were astonishing. The song was written and produced by Bianda members specifically for this fundraiser.
Over 25 wonderful and giving musicians located around the world donated their time and talents to the project. Bianda band members have agreed to donate 100% of all proceeds from the song, directly to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
Donations will be fairly divided amongst different areas of MS research and treatment. Bianda worked directly with the Upstate New York chapter of the NMSS where 12,000 people battle MS daily just in that area alone. Approximately 400,000 people throughout the entire United States suffer from Multiple Sclerosis.
The ‘Indaba Love’ song can be purchased and downloaded directly from iTunes and on the band’s website at www.indabalove.com
Every single song download will result in a direct donation to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
The ‘Indaba Love’ music video can be viewed on http://www.indabalove.com and on YouTube and Vimeo
The entire project and fundraiser are dedicated in Loving Memory of Annie N. Thorogood, an amazing person, musician and mother who was taken way too early by MS.
The song and video are also dedicated to Magdalena Obert, a very active Bianda band member. A strong woman who is challenged daily by Multiple Sclerosis, Maggie fights it with everything she’s got – this while helping others cope with the disease. She creates beautiful music that touches the hearts of those who are lucky enough to know her!
Bianda is a band that is always is changing it up, when it comes to genres and collaborating artists to work with. We employ a solid rule which every member upholds. When we produce music as a band, release and sell it on iTunes, Amazon, Indaba Music or anywhere, we always donate at least half of all net proceeds from the project, sometimes more. This fundraiser gets every penny of it. We are honored as a band and as individuals, to be able to use our talents to help a cause close to all of our hearts.
Indaba Love is home for Bianda and is a place where magic and healing truly happen. A place where talented musicians gather from around the world to donate their time and great talents. They each give their heart and soul to help make this world a better place, especially for those in need. Some of the band members themselves suffer from life-long disabilities, they find peace, healing, and happiness through music and helping others.
Bianda Band collaborate together and with other Indaba Music musicians to foster peace through art. Through music they raise awareness for charities and important causes worldwide. These musicians give their music as a gift because every time someone buys their music, part or all of the funds are directly donated to the cause.
Indaba Love is an homage to the founders, employees, and half million members of the Indaba Music Community. Indaba Love and the more than 16 band members who makeup Bianda wouldn’t exist without Indaba Music. For Indaba Music is where they all met and live their daily musical lives. Every one of them is passionate about music and people beyond words, they let their music tell the story, one with a happy ending every time.
Bianda would like to wish everyone a safe and healthy new year!
